Overdue Accounts

All outstanding utility account balances that are more than sixty (60) days overdue shall be rolled into the property owner’s tax account on December 15th of each year and henceforth the total tax roll balance shall be charged penalties in accordance to the Tax Penalty Fee as found in the office fee schedule of the Tax Penalty Bylaw.


Payment Methods

Payment of the utility bill can be processed at the Town Office during regular business hours via cash, debit card, cheque, or bank draft. You can also set up pre-authorized payments through our office using the Request for Pre-authorized Withdrawal Form; pre-authorized payments are processed on the 15th of the month. Payments to the office via online banking is available through RBC, ATB, and Servus Credit Union. Post-dated cheques are accepted. Credit Cards are accepted but there is an activation fee added on which equates to approximately 3%. Please ensure that your payment is postmarked (if mailed) or received by the Town Office on or before the due date on your statement. Please note that online banking transactions often take a few days before the funds reach the town’s bank account. Payments not received at the Town Office or post marked by the due date will be subject to a late payment penalty. 

Please be sure to use the   6-digit account number    when submitting payment – NOT your customer number.


Bulkwater Station

Potable Bulkwater Station is a self-serve water station located on the east side of the Fire Hall in the alleyway at  4911 52 Avenue

  • It is coin operated and takes loonies and toonies.
  • $2.00 per 100 Gallons / $4.40 per cubic meter

Non-potable bulkwater station located near the northeast end of town, 5407 48 Street.

  • Only takes Credit Card
  • $2.50 per cubic metre

Garbage and Recycling

Town of Bashaw garbage and recycling services are contracted to Environmental Solutions 360.   Please call them directly if you experience any issues with garbage or recycling pick-up.

The Town of Bashaw will now be completing e-waste and toxic waste round-ups every   two  years. The next toxic waste round-up is scheduled for 2023.
