Dear seniors and continuing care stakeholder,
Alberta Health Services is committed to engaging the public in a respectful, open and
accountable manner. We want people to have a voice in shaping healthcare services.
Alberta Health Services is excited to launch a new Seniors and Continuing Care Provincial
Advisory Council. On September 11, recruitment materials will begin to appear in media and community facilities.
AHS works closely with the existing twelve Health Advisory Councils (regional), two Provincial Advisory Councils (Addictions & Mental Health; Cancer Care) and one Wisdom Council (Indigenous communities). The advisory councils are a vital source of input. They provide community perspectives for the AHS Board of Directors and leadership, support the strategic direction of healthcare service development, and help address the health needs of both individuals and communities.
We look forward to recruiting a full slate of members on this new advisory council.
Enclosed, please find a poster and an Expression of Interest application form. Please share this information widely.
People from your community are encouraged to apply on the Alberta Health Services
website at http://www.ahs.ca/shapehealthcare. The deadline to apply is Friday,
September 22, 2017. Additional information can be obtained by dialing the toll free
